The short version: your quit data never leaves your phone. We don't have accounts, we don't run analytics or ads, and we don't sell or share your data. The only thing that touches a server is your purchase, if you buy Pipsprout+, and that's handled by Apple or Google and our subscription provider, RevenueCat.

Information stored only on your device

Everything you enter stays in the app's storage on your device and is never sent to us. That includes what you're quitting, usage and cost estimates, quit dates, cravings, slips, triggers, notes, if-then plans, reasons, check-in moods and settings. We cannot see, access or recover it.

Because some of this information relates to your health, we deliberately designed Pipsprout so it never leaves your device.

Purchases (Pipsprout+)

If you buy Pipsprout+, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. To confirm your subscription and let you restore it, we use RevenueCat, which receives:

a random, anonymous app user ID generated by the app
your purchase and transaction history for Pipsprout+ (product, price, dates, store receipt)
basic technical data: app version, device operating system and version, and store country

This information is used only to provide and manage your subscription, prevent fraud and show us aggregate revenue figures. It is not linked to your name or email, and it does not include any of your quit data.

Apple Health (optional)

If you have Pipsprout+ and choose You → Apple Health → Connect, the iPhone app saves each craving you surf in SOS as a Mindful session in Apple Health, and reads your sleep so Insights can show how sleep relates to your cravings. This happens entirely on your phone: Health data is never sent to us, to advertisers or to anyone else, and is never used for advertising or marketing. You can change or remove access at any time in the Health app → Sharing → Apps → Pipsprout.

Widgets and Live Activities

Home and lock screen widgets, and the lock screen countdown during SOS, show your days free, money kept and Pip. The app shares these numbers with its widgets through storage on your phone. Nothing is uploaded.

Notifications

Milestone alerts, daily check-ins and trial reminders are local notifications, scheduled by the app on your device. No push server is involved. You can turn them off in the app or in your phone's settings.

What we don't do

No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
We never sell, rent or share your quit data or any health information, for advertising or anything else.
No account, login, email address or phone number is required.

Our website and web version

pipsprout.app is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel processes your IP address and basic request details in server logs for security and reliability. We don't use cookies, analytics or ad trackers on the site, and fonts are served from our own domain. If you use the web version of the app, your data stays in your browser's storage.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your quit data stays on your device until you delete it: in the app go to You → Delete everything, or uninstall the app. To have your anonymous purchase record deleted from RevenueCat, email us at . Records kept by Apple or Google are governed by their policies.

Age

Pipsprout is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, or to object to its processing. Since your quit data is only on your device, you control it directly. For anything else, contact and we'll respond within 30 days.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app.
