Terms of Use
Last updated: 26 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ("we", "us") for your use of the Pipsprout app and website ("Pipsprout"). By using Pipsprout you agree to them. If you downloaded Pipsprout from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where these terms go further, they add to it.
1. Who can use Pipsprout
You must be 18 or older.
2. Not medical advice
Pipsprout is a self-help tool. It provides general information and behavioural techniques. It is not a medical device, and it doesn't diagnose, treat or replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional. Health milestones are general estimates from public health sources, and your experience may differ. Talk to a healthcare professional about quitting, withdrawal, medication or mental health, especially if you're pregnant or have a medical condition.
Pipsprout is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line straight away.
3. Pipsprout+ subscriptions and purchases
- Pipsprout+ is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase or, for free trials, when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You'll be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you start a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- We may change prices for future periods. The store will notify you in advance, as its rules require.
4. Your data
Your quit data is stored on your device. You're responsible for backing it up (You → Export backup). If you lose your device or delete the app, we cannot recover it. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Pipsprout for your own non-commercial purposes. Don't copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or misuse Pipsprout, or try to get around purchase checks.
6. Intellectual property
Pipsprout, its content and design belong to us or our licensors. Your notes and entries belong to you.
7. Disclaimers
Pipsprout is provided "as is". We don't promise that you will quit, that the app will be error-free or always available, or that information in it is complete. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Pipsprout. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pipsprout+ in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes and termination
We may update Pipsprout and these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app. You can stop using Pipsprout at any time.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by , without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
